As a 42-year-old firm located in Racine, Wisconsin, RenquistDesign offers a unique blend of experience, passion and design capabilities. This allows us a flexible interface with your business; we can work as your design partner or we can complement your design or engineering teams, offering a fresh perspective.
RenquistDesign has been helping clients compete through design for over 42 years. We are an integrated team, designing products (tractors, hand tools, hair clipper) and marketing materials (brochures, logos, signage).
Before moving to our present office (2300 Washington Ave.), we were located at 407 Lake Ave., where Festival Hall is now. But even though our home has always been here in Racine, our sights have been set on the world. We have worked with clients throughout the regional Midwest, North America and internationally.

History of 2300 Washington Avenue
The building at 2300 Washington Avenue was completed in 1962. The construction took over two years and was styled after a home Mr. William Sidley, Jr. (grandson of William Horlick, of Horlick Malted Milk fame) saw while vacationing in England. Unfortunately, Mr. Sidley died before he ever took residence.
Shortly after, the building was sold to Mrs. Samuel Johnson to be the home for a new private day school she was developing – the Prairie School. Before any renovations were made to the building, the committee realized that because of higher than expected enrollment projections, this property would not be adequate. The three acre property is bounded by Washington Park golf Course to the North and Washington Avenue to the South.
Lowell Mcneill, President of West Racine Bank, acquired the property and lived here with his wife and two daughters. Approximately two years after Mr. Mcneill’s death, Mrs. Mcneill sold the property to Renquist Associates Incorporated (March 1982). Renovations were made to the building to make it suitable for our design needs and we moved in the spring of that year.
The 10 meter swimming pool that once occupied the basement was closed and filled with concrete in 1988 to provide more usable work space. The basement area now houses our model/prototype shop.
